Dare To Love

Young people, come and experience the exciting, meaningful, and inspiring activities in celebration of the United World Week (since l996)! This annual event is organized by the Youth for a United World (YFUW - an international organization of the Focolare Movement, present in 198 countries).

This extraordinary week—from October 13-22, 2007—is a worldwide appointment where the YFUW promote actions, debates, gatherings, and cultural evenings in order to influence on the public opinion of their countries.

Inspired by the motivating words of Pope Benedict XVI in January, “…dare to love,” and the message of Chiara Lubich, the founder of the Focolare Movement in Italy on May 1st, 2007, “You are all made to do great things…”, the YFUW has in store the following varied activities:

• Feed a Child, Bukas Palad (social center) programs, fund-raising
• Switch On! U-Nite with an international link-up

• Step Up, Warehouse Party for a cause. This event is in-line with the theme of “Volunteerism” and is also timely for the upcoming United Nations Day on October 24 focusing on “Global Health”.
